One of the most exciting additions to the African rugby calendar, the Mauritius Sevens is more than just a high-level competition — it’s a celebration of unity, passion, and the vibrant energy of African rugby. Organised on our Mauritian soil, this historic tournament brought together 12 national teams from across the continent for a weekend of intense matches, camaraderie, and community spirit. Proudly hosted by the Mauritian Rugby Federation (MRF), the tournament reflects the Federation’s mission to develop rugby across the island and promote its core values: courage, teamwork, discipline, and integrity. For the MRF, rugby is a true school of life — a sport that builds strong individuals and stronger communities. With the Mauritius Sevens, the MRF showcased its vision for a more inclusive, dynamic, and connected rugby culture, both locally and across Africa.
